Vern “Sunny” F. Brock died peacefully in his home in Grand Junction. He was 82.
He was an instrumental masonry contractor in Vail and Colorado going back to the 1950s, and worked on many of the construction projects in early Vail, as the resort was coming out of the ground.
Vern lived in Edwards and graduated from Eagle County High School in 1955.
Vern and Nola raised their sons in Eagle County and loved hunting and fishing on the Flat Tops.
Vern is survived by Blondie, son Vern L. (Marilyn) of Eagle, son Brian (Sheryl) of Prescott, Arizona, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by son Alan and grandson Jake.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Brush Creek Pavilion and Sunset Cemetery in Eagle.
