In less than 70 hours, 16 teams of snow-sculpting artists representing 12 different countries carved their masterpieces out of a 20-ton, 12-foot-tall block of snow in Breckenridge. From heavy snowfall to wind-chilling below zero temperatures, the artists used only hand tools to create the temporary outdoor art gallery for the 29th annual International Snow Sculpture Championship. The gallery continues until Wednesday at the Riverwalk Center’s parking lot.
