The race takes place at the Vail Nordic Center track along the Vail Golf Course beginning at 10 a.m., consisting of a 5K snowshoe, 10K snow-bike and an 8K skate-ski and is open to both individual competitors and teams.

Pre-registration is $35 for individuals and $30 per person for teams at http://www.pedalpowerbike.com, at the Pedal Power shop in Eagle-Vail or by calling 970-845-0931; $45 on the day of the race for individuals.

The nonprofit series benefits the Lake County Bike Team scholarship fund.

Racers will meet at the Vail Nordic Center one hour prior to the start to allow time for registration and coordinate equipment. It is suggested participants call Pedal Power in advance at 970-845-0931 for directions.

In addition to the traditional men’s and women’s divisions, there will also be a team division designed to encourage team efforts, with winners determined by the combined times of each team’s participants.
