Miranda Lambert Dedicates Song from Her Nook to First Responders

At the very end of Friday night’s (May 8) Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miranda Lambert showed up for a virtual performance from somewhere inside her Tennessee home.

In a room covered with vertical and horizontal shiplap, Lambert sang an acoustic version of her latest single “Bluebird,” and shared some of her optimistic hope for the days ahead.

“Hey Jimmy. Thanks so much for having me on the show,” Lambert said via video call. “I think it’s really cool that you’re doing it from home. I’m coming to y’all from my little writing nook in Tennessee.

“I want to send this one especially out to the first responders and healthcare workers and grocery store people that are keeping us safe and fed. We’re praying for y’all and we’re so thankful for you and you’re all heroes.

“Hopefully,” she added, “we’re almost through this thing.”

Lambert wrote “Bluebird” with Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby.
