Eileen Terens

August 13, 1929 – December 19, 2018

Eileen Terens, 89, of Keystone, Colorado, passed away peacefully in Lone Tree, Colorado, on December 19, 2018.

A native of New York, Eileen was born August 13, 1929 in New York City. She was the daughter of Ruth and Norvin Rieser. Eileen grew up in Seacliff, Long Island and attended UCLA where she met her husband of 57 years. Fred and Eileen settled in Keystone, Colorado, in 1986 after living in Port Washington on Long Island, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida. Fred and Eileen were active members of the Summit County community, enjoyed travel, golf and entertaining family and friends in their Keystone home. Eileen is survived by her five children, Susan Terens Gilbert, Lori Terens Holshouser, Terry Terens Nettles, June Terens and Rick Terens. Eileen is also survived by her six grandchildren, Eric Jr, Andrew, Sabrina, Maria, Phillip and Eva and her faithful dog, Sugar. She was also mother-in-law of Peter Gilbert, Eric Holshouser, the late Bill Nettles, Steve D’Andrea and Sheri Terens.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Frederick B. Terens in 2006.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lakeside Suite, Keystone Lodge, Keystone, Colorado, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. At a private ceremony, Eileen will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband at the Dillon Cemetery.
