Frisco invites nonprofits to partner on summer events

Frisco is inviting local nonprofits to become part of the town’s 2019 summer events schedule, welcoming the organizations to provide key services during the events while also raising money for their groups.

Town partnerships with nonprofits are offered at a number of events, including the Colorado BBQ Challenge, the Frisco Concert in the Park Series, Founder’s Day and Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July.

“This nonprofit event program is unique because it gives nonprofits very structured and low risk ways to benefit from community events, while fulfilling vital roles at events as trusted partners,” said Vanessa Agee, Frisco’s director of marketing and communications. “We couldn’t and wouldn’t want to do this without the nonprofits, which make Frisco and Summit County so vibrant.”

Since the program began in 2010, the town’s nonprofit event partnership has contributed more than $450,000 to nonprofits. Interested organizations can apply for these opportunities by mail or drop-off at the Frisco Town Hall. For applications and guidelines, visit FriscoGov.com. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Feb. 4, and any local nonprofit with a current 501(c)3 status may apply.
