Frisco is hosting a public open house Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the town’s First and Main Building, and community members are invited to share their input on a potential public-private housing partnership.
Frisco staff and officials are seeking feedback regarding conceptual designs for a possible housing project on Granite Street parcels between First and Third avenues. The designs are being proposed by a private property owner, who approached the town late last year and pitched a partnership to develop on his and the adjacent town owned Sabatini lot. The discussion will center around the potential buildings’ character, site impacts, sustainability, and community needs and goals.
In 2017, the vacant land on Granite Street, including the Sabatini lot, was identified by the town’s Housing Task Force and the Frisco Town Council as high-priority sites for potential housing projects. The open house will provide an opportunity for community members to weight in on how the proposed project could help meet community goals, according to the town.
The open house will run from 4-6 p.m. Feb. 26 at 108 Main St.
