Frisco tree drop is open until Jan. 26

The town of Frisco is accepting Christmas trees to fuel the Spontaneous Combustion Bonfire later this month from now until 4 p.m. on Jan. 26.

All trees must be stripped of lights, garland, tree stands and any other decorations before drop off at the Frisco Bay Marina dirt lot, on the corner of Summit Boulevard and Marina Road. Only real trees will be accepted, and the tree drop off is open 24 hours a day until the deadline.

The Spontaneous Combustion Bonfire is a community celebration that features a bonfire and fireworks on Jan. 26. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with the Christmas tree bonfire, and will continue with fireworks at 8 p.m. DJ Landry will be providing music for the event, and chili and beverages will be available for purchase to benefit the Summit Nordic Ski Club.
