It is inspiring to see a number of impressive candidates on this year’s ballot running for the Summit School District board of education. Each candidate brings valuable experience and perspective to the table.
One candidate, however, stands out as a person who has the passion and expertise that would be invaluable to our board of education, Summit School District and the partnerships the district has with the broader Summit County community. This candidate is Gini Bradley.
Bradley’s 35 years of involvement and contributions to our community have been numerous and meaningful. She has worked with organizations serving almost every aspect of human services from early childhood to senior care, mental and public health and safety, and on several occasions has advised the school district on special projects. Her experience and knowledge are especially important in Summit, where our community partnerships are essential to our success as a school district.
Her specialty is collaborative problem solving — bringing people together to work toward a common cause. She does this through fair and inclusive process, facilitation and organization, and keeps everyone focused on the outcome. This type of leadership is critical to any highly functioning board or organization.
From my own experience in prior years on the board of education, I know how important it is to have members who will advocate for all students as well as understand the role of the board, keeping the vision high level and focused on the purpose and mission of the school district.
Bradley is an accomplished and compassionate leader. Join me in voting for her for the Summit School District board of education.
