Loveland Ski Area installs new web camera on Continental Divide

If you’re looking for your daily dose of views from the Continental Divide, Loveland Ski Area now has you covered.

Last week Loveland Ski Area announced on its Twitter page that it was now broadcasting live video streams from its new web cam atop Loveland’s Lift 9.

Lift 9 is the highest elevation lift at Loveland, rising up from 11,432 feet to 12,700 feet at the Continental Divide, for a total lift-serviced elevation gain of 1,268 feet. The lift serves mostly advanced and extreme, double-black diamond terrain above tree line, as well as one intermediate run.

You can view the live stream at: SkiLoveland.com/WebCams. From that site, you can also access videos of time lapses from the Lift 9 cam. At that website, PhotosSkiLoveland.com/Chair9/, Loveland is providing a “last few hours” timelapse and a “last full day” time lapse. The live stream timelapses showcase broadcast views positioned east as well as west toward Summit County.
