Nathan Adam Lile, 29, was arrested in a Keystone bar late last week after allegedly hitting another man in the forehead with a beer glass.
On Jan. 17 at about 11 p.m. deputies with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault call at the Dos Locos Bar in Keystone. Once on scene, the alleged victim told police that a man, later identified as Lile, threw a pint beer glass at him while they were inside the bar drinking. Lile, who remained on scene, told the deputies that the altercation was precipitated by the victim throwing beer onto him, according to the arrest affidavit.
The glass struck the victim above his right eye, which caused heavy bleeding, according to the deputies. They noted that he appeared to be disoriented, and emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after to transport him to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center.
The victim and his girlfriend told the deputies that nobody in their group that night knew Lile, and that he was harassing them throughout the night before the victim threw beer on him.
The bar manager showed deputies a video recording of the altercation. The video showed a verbal argument between Lile and the other man, followed by the man flinging beer at Lile, and finally Lile “baseball” throwing the glass at the man. Other patrons at the table then separated the two parties.
Deputies were informed by the medical center that the victim sustained a skull fracture, and that there could be other subsequent effects from the injury.
