On September 7th, Eric Warren Franzen passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Miramar Beach, FL. After a long battle against IPF, he found his comfort in the hands of God and his parents. He was a loving husband, caring father and warmhearted grandfather.For many years, he was a devoted volunteer firefighter for Breckenridge Fire Department, was on the first governing board of the Red White and Blue Fire District and owner-operator of Franzen Excavating in Breckenridge, CO.His love for fishing took him to amazing places, secured incredible friendships and engraved unimaginable stories. His innovative thinking and his entrepreneurial spirit shaped him into a fierce self-made man who unselfishly passed along his knowledge and helped anyone who needed it. He will be missed, yet our appreciation for being part of his life and his lessons live on.He is survived by his wife Donna (Married 47 Years) and oldest son Todd with wife Erika and daughters Rayna and Kalina and youngest son Chris with wife Luisa and sons Noah, James and Dylan.
