Prosit German beer bar in Frisco to expand kitchen and bar

FRISCO — Prosit, a Bavarian beer bar on Frisco’s main street, has announced plans for expansion. True to traditional German bars, Prosit occupies a fairly small space. However, owner Scott Pohlman thinks the bar could better serve customers with a bit more room.

With construction work underway, the restaurant will be adding another bar in the front of the building. This will allow more people to be seated and room for an additional TV at the bar.

Prosit also is planning a major expansion of the kitchen, which will take over one side of the Frisco Emporium. Pohlman said a bigger kitchen space will allow for faster service.

“We get lines quite a bit, so we’re going to expand the kitchen so we can get through that faster with bigger grills, more storage, that kind of stuff,” he said.

Prosit also will be adding two beers on-tap, totaling 10 for the bar. All of these changes are expected to be completed by Nov. 1.
