SILVERTHORNE — On Thursday morning, Silverthorne hosted the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fourth Street Crossing development. Town government members and developers gathered in front of the Old Dillon Inn, which will remain standing, to celebrate the groundbreaking of Silverthorne’s largest new development.

Tim Fredregill, with development company Milender White, gave the first remarks.

“We tried to create something unique and organic, so we brought in a lot of different teams from a lot of different scopes,” Fredregill said.

Silverthorne Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist followed up by sharing her thoughts on what the development means for the town.

“I think today is a pretty momentous day for Silverthorne. I think Silverthorne epitomizes community,” Sandquist said. “We are embarking on a time of renewal.”

Construction on the project is underway with completion set for the end of 2020.
