Snowy Peaks celebrates Decemeber graduating class

Six seniors crossed the stage and graduated from Snowy Peaks High School on Thursday, becoming the first members of the alternative high school’s Class of 2019. The students graduating were Nathan David Dahman, Anne Sage Greene, Jenna Desiree Griffith, Cynthia Lynn Munoz, Estrella Jane Torres and Marily Andrea Torres-Rodriquez.

Greene said that Snowy Peaks saved her from the tough time she was having in high school.

“I had a hard time learning in a traditional school,” Greene said. “I struggled with bad influences in my life. But I’ve overcome a lot and I’ve learned a lot, and I’ve grown very much personally, being around a community that cares.”

Greene said she would be moving to Oregon next month, and while she hasn’t come up with any career plans, she wants to enjoy her free time and tour with Dead and Company before figuring out the rest of her future.
