Take the day off with Dillon’s Movies on the Water

Sunday, June 30, is the start of the Movies on the Water series at the Dillon Amphitheater with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Summer has officially arrived with Dillon’s weekly Movies on the Water series. Presented each Sunday at the Dillon Amphitheater on West Lodgepole Street, the free screenings are a chance to warm up under a blanket while watching classic films under the stars.

“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” initiates the series on June 30 at 8 p.m. The 1986 movie follows Ferris Bueller, played by Matthew Broderick, as he ditches school and explores Chicago with his friends. It is rated PG-13.

The rest of the schedule is as follows:

July 7 — “The Rescuers Down Under” with special Birds of Prey exhibit before the movie

July 14 — “Dirty Dancing”

July 21 — “Christopher Robin”

July 26 — “Earth” with special Science Tellers performance before the movie

Aug. 4 — “Dumb and Dumber”

Aug. 11 — “The Incredibles”

Aug. 18 — “The Big Lebowski”

Aug. 25 — “Coming to America”
