With Silverthorne unfurling the town’s proclamation wrapped around a set of handlebars last week, Cycle Silverthorne Month will be returning in June for the fourth consecutive year.

“Our recent proclamation coincides with the state of Colorado’s designation of June as bike month as well,” said Kim Jardim, a spokeswoman for the town, as she expressed her excitement to see the events return for another year.

“Cycling is a healthy and efficient transportation option and it’s also a great way to just get outside and recreate,” she continued. “Our community loves cycling and we feel like that’s worthy of a celebration.”

Of course, the kickoff party will be at Silverthorne’s First Friday celebration June 7 on the lawn of the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, but that’s not all the town is planning for the month. Other events are as follows:

June 3 — Yoga for cyclists

June 4 — Bike to School Day at Silverthorne Elementary

June 6 — Fundamentals of mountain biking and foam rolling for cyclists

June 7 — First Friday celebration at SPAC and late-night happy hour at Sauce on the Blue

June 10 — Yoga for cyclists and bike safety presentation

June 11 — Fundamentals of mountain biking

June 12 — Bike to happy hour at Sauce on the Blue and “Miles of Portraits” presentation

June 17 — Yoga for cyclists

June 19 — Bike to movie, “Blood Road”

June 20 — Bike to happy hour at Angry James Brewery
