Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Traded His Bass For A Fan’s Licence Plate

Big fan of this.

It’s always fun to take a memento home when you’ve been to a show – and in that respect, one Blink-182 fan has pretty much won the lottery.

Hi_Im_Joee from Reddit took his North Carolina ‘BLNK 182’ licence plate to a show in Virginia Beach, and Mark Hoppus traded it for one of his basses!

“So I had the NC plates and also VA. In 2016 Mark signed my VA plates so I figured I’d give him the NC one,” he explained.

“He said ‘cool! I collect them! I’ll tell you what I’ll trade a bass for it’ and then I shit myself.”

You can see how it went down in these pics.

Mark traded me one of his basses for my NC BLNK182 License plates at the VA Beach VIP.

And:

It was signed, too!

Amazing.

The band’s as-yet-unnamed new album is set for release September 20.
