‘High Hopes’ Has Overtaken ‘I Write Sins’ As Panic! At The Disco’s Most-Streamed Song

Oh. Well imagine.

Despite having an almost 10 year head start, Panic! At The Disco‘s breakthrough single ‘I Write Sins Not Trafedies’ has been overtaken by ‘High Hopes’ in terms of streaming numbers on Spotify.

While ‘I Write Sins’ was released all the way back in 2005, Spotify was only launched in 2008- and in those 10 years it’s managed to collect over 286 million streams so far. An impressive number.

Until you consider that ‘High Hopes’ has now racked up more than that since it was released on Spotify in May last year.

That’s right, in the space of seven short months ‘High Hopes’ has collected over 289 million streams. HUGE.

To put that into context, if you were to single-handedly listen to ‘High Hopes’ on repeat 289 million times, it would take you:
926 million minutes
15.4 million hours
643,000 days
91,800 weeks
1,761 years

That’s a lot of ‘High Hopes’.
