The band have released a short statement.
Holding Absence have taken to social media to announce the immediate departure of guitarist Chris Smitheram.
No reason or explanation is offered, however the split appears amicable as the band wishes him the best for his future endeavours.
“In the interest of putting to rest any rumour or uncertainty, we can confirm that Chris Smitheram is no longer a member of Holding Absence,” the band shared. “We would like to thank Chris for his contributions to the band, and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
