LISTEN: Stand Atlantic’s Beautiful New Song ‘Drink To Drown’

Here we go!

Stand Atlantic have released a brand new song.

‘Drink To Drown’ is a beautiful piano-led balled, the sort that sends shivers down your spine.

The visual that accompanies it shows off what people, including the band, have been filling their time with whilst self-isolating.

It’s a truly gorgeous and touching mix.

Have a listen and watch below:

The release comes after the band made a statement regarding what the future looks like as we all make it through the COVID-19 pandemic together.

The answer is basically music.

“We just wanted to stop you for a second,” Vocalist Bonnie starts. “We have some things to tell you about Stand Atlantic and 2020. Essentially we wanted to have a conversation with you and be totally transparent. We’ve been working hard for a year and a half to get an album ready for you guys. We have it, which is great. We also had plans around it which have been compromised due to the coronavirus, which the whole planet is fighting against right now.

“So I’m sure you’ve heard it from a bunch of other bands and artists and everyone in general. Everybody has been stopped in their tracks and put on pause but we’ve decided to take that into our own hands and take control back and do things with stuff that we can control. And that is music.”

“So despite all of this stuff being thrown at us, we’re going to fight back,” Guitarist Miki Rich then adds. “Starting now to hopefully when all this calms down, we’re going to promise you guys that we are going to release new music every month for you guys starting tomorrow. We’re going to release a new song called ‘Drink To Drown’.

“Basically, hopefully, we will keep on doing that and when things calm down again we will be back on schedule.”

“I just want to say that you guys have been amazing,” Bonnie then finishes. “I know we’ve been promising this album for so long and now this has happened. This is our way of giving back to you guys as much as we could. We’re just like ‘Fuck it’ at this point. But thank you guys so much, we really appreciate it. We know you’ve been waiting so long. We love ya, thank you for bugging the hell out of us every single day. We miss you, we miss you, we miss you, and hopefully we will see you ASAP.”
