Mark Hoppus Auctioning A Bass For Charity “To Celebrate How Ridiculous A Straight Pride Parade Is”

Blink-182 and Simple Creatures frontman Mark Hoppus is going to auction off one of his bass guitars to benefit the Trevor Project.

The Trevor Project is a charity established to support the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth,  through a series of crisis services.

Mark has also said he will match the auction price dollar for dollar, doubling the value of the donation.

He’s been inspired to do run the auction for charity off the back of the social discource which exploded on social media yesterday around demands for a Straight Pride Parade during Pride Month – the notion of which Mark called “utterly ridiculous”.

Taking to Twitter, Mark shared “To celebrate how utterly ridiculous a Straight Pride parade is, I’m going to auction off one of my basses, match the final bid dollar-for-dollar, and donate all the money to the Trevor Project”.

Keep an eye on Mark’s Twitter for when the auction begins.
