Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Says The Band Could Continue Without Him If They Had To

The frontman opens up in a new interview.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has opened up about his thoughts on the future of the band.

In a new interview with Metal Hammer, Corey says that if the band had to carry on without him, he believes it is possible they could find a new leader:

“I mean, it’s crossed my mind as the years have gone on. It’s gotten harder to do this. You think about when the end is. No one thought we’d be doing it 20 years later.”

He continues “If I just couldn’t do it anymore, I’d just stop, but that doesn’t mean that the band would stop. If I can’t do it then someone might be able to take my place. … I’ve thought about it before: If the right person came around and the guys were into it then I’ll just head off. We can’t shortchange anyone.”

Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that he will going anywhere soon with new album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ due out on August 09 and a full European tour lined up for 2020.
