State Champs Have Shared The Working Titles Of The Tracks On ‘The Finer Things’

So uhh, any guesses what ‘666’ was?

It’s no surprise that at various points in the recording process, bands often change the name of the songs they’re working on. Typically songs are given a ‘working title’ before the final track name is officially locked in.

Yesterday State Champs‘ album ‘The Finer Things’ turned six years old, and in celebration the lads shared a photo of their progress chart from in the studio – and that progress chart revealed a host of the original working titles for the tracks from the album.

So this bad boy here started off life as ‘Miracle’:

And ‘Deadly Conversation’ was known as ‘Indifferent’:

‘Nothing’s Wrong’ began life as ‘Braced’:

‘Easy Enough’ was ‘The Faceless’ at first:

And any guesses what 666 used to be?

Anyway, happy birthday (one day late) to a real one!
