The Ghost Inside Have Confirmed They Will Play More Shows, But Won’t Be Touring

“We are much more than capable of overcoming all of the challenges that have been placed in our way, and we are ready to play a few more shows.” – The Ghost Inside.

The future for The Ghost Inside has been uncertain beyond their triumphant comeback show in July, but that uncertainty is now gone with the band’s latest announcement.

The Ghost Inside’s show in July marked their first public appearance since their fatal bus crash in 2015, which left all members in recovery and rehabilitation for years. Ahead of the show, the band’s future was pretty uncertain beyond their live return – with frontman Jonathon Vigil taking to Twitter in June to address fans questioning if has anything planned.

“I’m hopeful that TGI will have a future past just the show in July but we honestly, truly won’t know until we play,” he shared. “I hope we continue on for lots of reasons but mostly because I want to play shows with Wage War. Band is the sickest,” he shared.

Earlier this month, The Ghost Inside took to Twitter to share that they’d started work on their fifth studio album – and now they’ve shared another update on where they’re at, and what the future has in store.

In a short video posted to Instagram, the band shared that they’re looking to play some more shows next year – but they’re not up to touring, yet.

“Hey everybody, we’re The Ghost Inside – checking in with you after our show in July. A lot of you are asking the question about what our future is going to hold – we’ve had a lot of long conversations about it, and we feel like the show in July is definitely not the end of our story, but the beginning of a new chapter,” they shared. “We are going to try to do a few more shows next year – we’re still working out most of the details on that, but expect to pay attention, and hopefully we will see you somewhere next year… And we’re not going on tour – we’re playing a couple of shows.”

They also added in the caption of the post “Welp, here it is. A month and change has gone by since our show in LA. We’ve spent most of that time together working on music and discussing the next chapter of TGI. By no means are we ready physically or mentally to do any touring, but July 13 proved to us that we are much more than capable of overcoming all of the challenges that have been placed in our way, and we are ready to play a few more shows. As the plan for when and where those will be comes together, we will continue to put all our cards on the table. We like to think we are on every part of this journey together with you. Stay tuned as the first couple of announcements will come up quick! TGI now, TGI forever.”

The future isn’t just looking more certain – it’s looking bright for The Ghost Inside.
