The Netflix adaptation of Gerard Way’s comic book seried The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a second season.
According to a report on GWW, the second season of The Umbrella Academy will be going into production at the end of 2019 in Toronto, with Peter Hoar signed on to direct the first episode.
Peter Hoar directed the pilot for the series, as well as episode 10 of season one.
As yet there’s no information around where the second season will pick up from, but it’s been theorised that season two will pick up in a period back in time. No spoilers though.
The renewal won’t come as a surprise to many – it was revealed earlier this week that The Umbrella Academy is the most popular digital television series of 2019 so far.
