It’s been a big year for Gerard Way, and especially for his comic book series The Umbrella Academy.
Netflix debuted the first series of The Umbrella Academy in February this year, and it was met with immediate praise – so much so that it’s already been renewed for a second season.
And now it’s been acknowledged with two Emmy Award nominations as well!
The Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in television and television production – so it’s the highest honour.
The Umbrella Academy has scored nominations for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More) and Outstanding Special Visual Effects. Incredible stuff!
