The Upcoming Blink-182 Album Doesn’t Have Any Joke Songs

Are we entering into a more serious era for Blink?

Blink-182 are almost as well known for their joke songs as they are for their serious ones – but their upcoming album is set to not have any of the latter.

In at Twitter Q&A overnight a fan asked Mark if the new Blink album will feature any joke songs, to which Mark replied “no not at this point”.

This is surprising, especially when you consider that their 2016 album ‘California’ had two joke tracks – ‘Built This Pool’ and ‘Brohemian Rhapsody’.

Is this setting the tone for an all together far more serious album from the San Diego-based trio? It’s hard to know, with the album not even officially announced yet.

It was revealed last month that the plan for the new Blink album to be released before Warped Tour was no longer happening, with Mark Hoppus revealing it wouldn’t be released in June.
