Some absolute legend has gone and made a mashup of Fall Out Boy‘s classic ‘Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down’ with Taylor Swift‘s ‘You Need To Calm Down’ – dubbed ‘Sugar, Calm Down’.
Believe it or not though, this mashup actually came before Taylor sung Fall Out Boy’s praises to Rolling Stone last month.
“I love Fall Out Boy so much,” Taylor shared with Rolling Stone. “Their songwriting really influenced me, lyrically, maybe more than anyone else. They take a phrase and they twist it. ‘Loaded God complex/ Cock it and pull it’? When I heard that, I was like, ‘I’m dreaming’.”
Definitely filing this mashup under ‘didn’t think this would work, but it really does’. Make of that what you will.
